The 6th of 7 children, I played football with my brothers on Woolwich Common. Despite being a South Londoner, I supported Wolves (and still do) as their captain was Billy Wright, the England captain with a pop star wife.
An original computer nerd, I joined IBM and Lloyds Bank. I spent 3 ½ yrs teaching courses in the US, based in Canada, sparking my interest in travel. My favourite destination to date is a safari in Kenya. Lately, my wife and I have travelled more sedately - lots of cruises.
Fairly fit in my 20s, I played amateur football twice a weekend. I thought my sporting life had now become limited to playing chess until I discovered Walking Football. I look forward to many more years keeping body and brain fit.
