We are a walking football club based in Rutland. We play local sessions in Oakham and Uppingham to keep fit, have a good laugh and occasionally hit a decent pass or get the ball into the net. Most of our players are over 50; some of the most energetic players are over 70! We are an inclusive and good-natured bunch and supportive of players at all levels. We are always keen to grow our club, so do come along and join us.
Rutland Ospreys were in action again, competing in the annual Charity Walking Football Competition in Stamford. The Jan Barrett-Treen Memorial Trophy 2025. A great day's football and we were happy to donate to the Macmillan Cancer Research fund.
Playing in blue against Harborough Hornets & in our stripes against Stamford Strollers
We had a great evening of football as we welcomed Rushden & Diamonds to Uppingham for a friendly match!
The game was played in the true spirit of walking football—competitive, good fun, and full of laughs. We wrapped it all up with a well-earned pint at the Old White Hart in nearby Lyddington.
Bonus: The video’s worth a watch just to catch a classic Northern Soul tune!
The social aspects of the club are important to us - what better place to talk tactics, right the wrongs of the world, and generally talk b*******, than a Rutland Pub. The Exeter, the Grainstore and Don Paddy's, our sponsors, being our favourites.

We are fortunate to have some skilful players within our ranks and can field teams in the over 50s, over 60s and over 65s in leagues in Peterborough and Nottingham. We benefit from affiliation to Oakham United FC and, through them, are affiliated to the FA.

Currently we play 11.00-12.00 Sunday morning sessions outdoors on the Oakham School's Astroturf, Kilburn road.
We play Thursday evenings at 6.00-7.00pm at Uppingham Community College, outside on Astroturf (under floodlights during the Winter
New members over 50 are always welcome.

We are pleased to anounce that
Don Paddy's in Uppingham are our new sponsors and are paying for our website for the next two years.
We we raise a glass and say "cheers" to say thank you.
